Committee on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice
AGENDA: Tackling crimes motivated by intolerance or discrimination based on religion and sexual orientation with emphasis on providing protection and support to victims.
The Committee on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice acts as the principal policymaking body of the United Nations in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. With fear and anxiety at every doorstep, CCPCJ works towards the prevention of urban crime, youth-focused crime, armed violence, and recidivism. Criminal justice reform is one of CCPCJ’s responsibilities that gives it the power to lead police reform, prosecution service, judiciary, prison reform and alternatives to imprisonment, restorative justice and access to legal defense and legal aid. The CCPCJ welcomes all delegates to provide pragmatic solutions to the global war on crime and polish themselves as better diplomats.
