Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space
AGENDA: Deliberating the possibilities of colonization of outer space with special emphasis on the changes required in the existing treaties.
The Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) is set up for the benefit of all humanity: for peace, security and development. The Committee is weighted with reviewing International cooperation in friendly uses of outer space, studying space-related activities that could be undertaken by the United Nations, encouraging space research programmes, and studying problems arising from the exploration of outer space. International Collaboration in space exploring and the use of new space technology applications to meet global development aims are discussed in this committee.
